Private Champagne workshop - Live sparkling moments

Enter the secret of champagne and its elaboration, tasting our wines:

  • Welcoming to the Villa Douce
  • Presentation of the different vineyards of Champagne
  • Initiation to the recognition of aromas of clear wines
  • Commented tasting of 3 different grapes varieties

Commissioned from architect Pol Gosset by notary André Douce in 1929, Villa Douce is different in its Art Deco modernity to the other manor houses in the style of Louis XV or Louis XVI associated with the champagne houses. Its façade of huge brick pilasters, its Streamline Art déco concrete interior (dynamic lines inspired by great transatlantic liners) and its exceptional music room were listed in 1993.

Donated to the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, this villa was for many years home to the URCA presidency. It is now the location of the Institute of Vine and Wine, the Georges Chappaz Institute, which will welcome us for this special event.
